Quick and simple communication. Great customer service, and most importantly excellent authentic assortment of cheeses. Following tasting this one, I’ve immediately went on to try much more and could hardly resist all of the high quality assortment they’ve provided. Highly suggest!

My only complaint was that there was no information about the cheese. For my tasting, I had to do all of the leg work to get info so I could tell my guests what they were eating. Thank goodness for the web! Nevertheless, I would purchase this again. This was the ideal combination, I believe, for the cheese novices I had at the party, nothing too strong or stinky. Every had a distinct flavor and it was enjoyable to obtain everyone’s reaction on the various cheeses. I bought this item having a gift certificate. I used the cheese in a cheese tasting party with good friends.

I was fairly wary to order cheese over the internet and to see how fresh it would arrive, but this stuff was great. A fantastic assortment of fine cheeses at a very nice price.

I am definitely not an expert on cheese from this country and was rather clueless as to what I was eating. Other than that it was great and I am not going to mark down the rating simply because of my own ignorance from the subject as there it’s all taste matters. This is one from the nicest samplers I’ve ever received. Each variety was excellent.

We had a tasting party and everyone enjoyed all of these cheeses. The assortment was varied and interesting ranging from mild to an superb pungent Gorgonzola my favorite. All were excellent. The packaging was also very first class. My only complaint is that there’s now none left.

Excellent Cheese Selection!
We had a tasting party and everyone enjoyed all of these cheeses. The assortment was varied and interesting ranging from mild to an excellent pungent Gorgonzola (my favorite). All were excellent. The packaging was also first class. My only complaint is that there is now none left. However, I've solved that problem by signing up for iGourmet's cheese of the month club!

Wonderful and different - We loved it.
This is one of the nicest samplers I have ever received. Each variety was excellent. I served it at a party and received rave reviews. The quality of the cheese was excellent, well packed, and for the price, worth every penny. Like another reviewer here though, I would have appreciated it if the cheese had been accompanied by an explanation just what it was, what area it was made in and that sort of information. I am certainly not an expert on cheese from this country and was rather clueless as to what I was eating. What a treat
My husband and I ordered this sampler as a special treat, and now we are hooked! The cheese was incredible with our favorite wines, and made for a fun and beautiful late dinner (i.e. the kid was in bed) with warm olives a baguette and some prosciutto! We also ordered some asiago to go with it. DELICIOUS.

A great assortment of cheeses! There were two that had been quite potent and two that had been milder. All four were superb, especially with fruit and various sweet and spicy chutneys.

I also agree that the assortment ought to have come with more info about the cheeses themselves along the lines of: You have selected this assortment, cheese names, background, taste descriptions, and serving suggestions food and wine pairings both. All in all, one of the four cheeses was great enough to add to a watch out list so that I can hope to find it again while shopping at a local store.

The Saint Andre isn’t my favorite kind of cheese, but it’s good on a nice loaf of crusty bread. The other cheeses in the selection are outstanding and I’ve received rave reviews from everyone I’ve served them to. Only negative is that they came extremely hot even though they had been in a cooler-type box with an ice pack that I assume had at one time been cold and also the softer cheeses had been really melted. They still tasted excellent, but weren’t as nice for presentation.

My wife and I reserved the chaource and also the epoisses for a wine and cheese party, but believe me, they are so fantastic and so unique, you’ll be tempted to consume them anytime, party or not. The Gruyère de Comté is just so special I can’t really discover words to describe it. It’s rich. It’s creamy. It is delectable. We often eat it as a dessert cheese. Yes, it’s really that great! If you’re looking for a unique gift, you can’t go wrong with this French Cheese Assortment. These are four from the finest cheese France has ever produced.

Gift For Wife
Guys, if you are tired of the traditional "wife gifts", try giving this delicious assortment to her....for no reason at all...besides, who do you think gets to share it. Couple this wonderful sampler with some fresh grapes, fine olives, "Carr's" Table Water Crackers, Boars Head Sopressata...and of course (2) bottles of New Zealand's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc....let's just say you'll have an evening to remember....Oh yes, don't forget the background music! Cheeses were fresh, top quality, and with the complementing sides, a portion that would (if you wanted to) serve 4-6 people easily.

Cheese must breathe
Cheese by post? Who heard of such a daft thing?! Cheese is alive...it must breathe....to wrap it in plastic and ship it is the act of a philistine!! Nobody who loves cheese and sells it would do this to it! It will arrive sweaty and slack.....the taste and texture will be compromised.

For the foreign stuff you'd be better off toddling along to your local Deli and see what they have....find a Mom & Pop operation and they will probably let you taste and try before you buy....and tell you all about the cheese into the bargain....online buying is NOT always best!! Buying cheese or wine in this way is barmy!! Taste is a vital part of choosing...you CANNOT 'blind buy' & expect a good result....support your local Deli I say!!

Hit and Miss
I received the four cheeses and was somewhat dissapointed because although I enjoyed 3 of the cheeses, only 2 of those 3 were meant to be served as a cheese platter (vs for cooking on the 3rd). The fourth was horrendous and I ended up throwing it away (4 other guests of mine tasted it and agreed that it was not good - we could all tell that it was not spoiled and that it was simply not a good choice for an assortment). I also agree that the assortment should have come with more information about the cheeses themselves along the lines of: You have selected this assortment, cheese names, background, taste descriptions, and serving suggestions (food and wine pairings both). Excellent cheeses, ok service
The French cheese assortment is amazing. A selection of cheeses of a quality you cannot easily come by unless you have a great specialty gourmet store nearby. I chose this pack because I like a range of cheeses on the cheese plate. I completely adore Royal Stilton, whose flavors inform your taste buds you are in the organization of bleu cheese but do it softly, gently, just a kiss of that flavor. A fantastic pack of cheese! A excellent present concept! However, I suggest you think about the explorer, the adventurer among your buddies and family, as three of these cheeses aren’t your American Swiss cheese or cheddar and may not be a welcome gift.

Got this for my father for Christmas and he loved it. I’m only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as I didn’t get to taste the cheese myself. The cheese was excellent! When I placed my order it had a various price for shipping than what I ended up paying.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my British husband who is always complaining about American cheeses. The staff at igormet had been very accommodating. I ordered it in November and asked that they hold off on shipping until mid-December which they did.

The four imported English cheeses had been wonderful, especially the Stilton. I’m vey happy with the service and also the the products. This really is an excellent english cheese assortment. We ordered this cheese, for the holidays,and found they went over very well. This cheese would make an excellent holiday gift.

The sage cheese was intensely sage flavored. It was superb. The Stilton was at the top of it’s game, superb with crackers or fruit. The cheddar was straight from across the Atlantic. I closed my eyes whilst I was eating it and I was back at the Angel and Greyhound Pub in Oxford, England. It doesn’t get any much better than this. I extremely recommend this assortment.

Great gift
Got this for my father for Christmas and he loved it. I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as I didn't get to taste the cheese myself.

Great cheese- shipping was deceiving!!!
The cheese was great! When I placed my order it had a different price for shipping than what I ended up paying. The shipping was about the same price as the cheese!!! When I e-mailed a complaint, they completely brushed me off!!

Some mighty fine cheeses here!
Pull out these cheeses from the refrigerator after dinner to let them warm a bit. Get your new wine glasses, open a nice red, find some crackers, and either put out grapes or get an apple ready to slice. This is our dessert, or bed-time snack, whichever comes last.

I love both its aroma and its flavor. Take a big swirl of that spicy red and you are heaven-bound right now!

I always thought the Germans, the French, the Swiss, the Swedes had the market on cheese until I met the English cheddars. The Farmhouse Cheddar is nothing like an orange cheddar. It's mild and smooth. Its opposite is Sage Derby--herbaceous and fresh. While one lulls you, the other jolts you, each in a pleasant way.

And last on our plate is the Lancashire, a dry, crumbly, old, old English cheese. You might need a spoon to gather up all this goodness because it will come apart upon being cut.

A wonderful pack of cheese! A great gift idea! However, I suggest you consider the explorer, the adventurer among your friends and family, as three of these cheeses are not your American Swiss cheese or cheddar and might not be a welcome gift. But for one who wants to experiment, what a welcome gift!

I was expecting this product to be pre-sliced with plastic inserts so was a little disappointed to discover that it comes in one block. Let me tell you, eating three pounds of cheddar in one sitting is no easy task but having got via two packets of Jacobs, deep fried a slab and grated the remainder over a plate of grits or two, i can confirm that this is indeed, quite cheesey.

This really is cheese. Should you are expecting 10 yr cheddar, this isn’t aged very that long. It is really great cheese though and worth each and every cent. The cheese arrived exactly as promised. The ship date was as requested and also the product arrived in excellant condition. We will buy again following holiday season and will share our expierence with others.

I think removing the wax coating prior to it goes under the grill will most likely help following time, and improve the taste somewhat. There were no guidelines supplied as to slice the cheese if needed, thus my attempt to melt this baby on my cheeseburger was very problematic even though once it all melted after an hour or so below the grill, i agree with Craig it’s very cheesey.

This is cheese. If you are expecting 10 yr cheddar, this isn't aged quite that long. It is very good cheese though and worth every cent.

I am a large fan of Manchego cheese, so I ordered this sampler as an indulgence for my husband and myself. It was delicious, and well worth the price. If you’re considering this, go ahead and purchase.

Only negative is that the second shipment arrived with the cheese very warm inside even though I brought it inside the moment it was delivered and it was in a cooler box with an ice pack which had turned very hot. Just make sure that you will be house to get it within the fridge shortly after arrival.

Perfect cheeses!
My iGourmet order arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The Spanish cheeses are expensive, but of incredible quality and flavor. A quick web search will turn up some fantastic ways to eat each cheese, ranging from marinated in olive oil and herbs (Idiazabal), to served with dried fruits and nuts (Mahon), diced and added to a tomato-based salad (Murcia al Vino), and even coated and fried (Manchego). I definitely recommend picking things that will highlight the flavors of each cheese rather than obscuring them, as these are truly delightful.

As good as we had in Barcelona!
We loved the assortment and it was ended up being more cheese than we had expected. The quality was excellent -- the manchego took us back to the wheel of cheese we bought on our honeymoon! Perfect with some pecans in honey. We'd definitely buy this again.

The only complaint is that it was fairly warm when we got it. It was a mild day but not hot, and I'm concerned that the cheese might have melted on a warmer day or if the box had been out in the sun for longer than it was.

The knives in this series are constructed of high carbon, stainless steel and have been printed and double-welded to create sharp edges. Half Tangs extend the cable stainless steel handles that are ergonomically designed and shaped for everyday use. The 6-inch angled knife is just made for slicing and serving cheese semi-hard, requiring a delicate touch, like Monterey Jack and Cheshire. The straight edge blade is a cheese slices neatly all the way through.The blade is tilted to a pole tip to stab and slice to serve. The 3-inch knife features a parmesan short, wedge-shaped blade and ends at the tip. E ‘ideal for chipping pieces from a Parmesan or Romano. And the 6-inch knife has a sharp, broad blade mesh heel to cut with camembert, brie and other soft cheeses. The blade is curved so the tip can be inserted into a wheel of cheese and kick back for a clean cut. Holes in the blade to prevent sticking. The knives in this series are imported and must be washed by hand.

The bamboo storage drawer features one slot for each knife, and slides smoothly in and out of the bottom of the board for convenience. The matching bamboo board is 1-3/4 inches thick and can be used for displaying, cutting, and serving cheeses. It’s easy to clean-just rinse with warm water and dry immediately.

Cheeses for the Guys Assortment Review
I loved the cheeses, however was slightly disappointed that they replaced the selected blue cheese with a gorgonzola. As much as I enjoy this particular cheese I was hoping on trying one that I was not as familiar with. They came fresh, fast and were nicely packaged in a reusable container with reusable ice packs.
